(∫CMP or ICMP) is our unified vision for Multi-Physics simulations which simplifies the complexities of the individual disciplines.
It began when we tried to simulate Multi-Physics problems by connecting the individual disciplines in the usual way but realized that the combined Multi-Physics problem is best not treated as connected compartments but as a unified whole, hence the Integral approach.
The resulting synergy helps increase simulation productivity even while modeling real world effects with more accuracy and fidelity.
ICSM++ introduces a new level of multi-disciplinary analysis and design capability to engineers and scientists in diverse fields of science and technology.
ICSM++ is a finite element based structural mechanics simulation software suite which has been specifically designed, from the outset, to work seamlessly with ICFD++, ICAA++ and IMIME to carry out Multi-Physics simulations involving fluid flows, acoustics, structural deformations and heat transfer.
ICSM++ heralds Metacomp’s vision for a flow structure interaction capability with an unprecedented level of interaction between all the component disciplines.
In addition to importing meshes from IMIME, ICSM++ can import just the mesh or the complete finite element model from several commercial finite element codes. The integrated GUI can be used to setup, solve and analyze a problem quickly and efficiently.
Integral Computational Multi-Physics (ICMP) can include an Integral treatment of the sum of Metacomp's simulation capabilities, as well as an Integral treatment of various subsets of software packages, as well as the individual software suites.
For example, from one Advanced User Interface ICMP can perform:
Integral treatment of Meshing (IMIME) to Computational fluid dynamics (ICFD++)
Integral treatment of Computational fluid dynamics (ICFD++) to Aeroacoustics (ICAA++)
Integral treatment of Meshing (IMIME) to Fluid dynamics (ICFD++) to Structural Mechanics (ICSM++) to Flow structure interaction (IMetaFSI)
ICMP also encompasses the new Advanced User Interface (AUI) which applies to all Metacomp software and allows the user to easily access and exploit each software's extensive capabilities with one fast and efficient learning curve.
The AUI is wizard based and easy to setup. It is intuitive, logical and simple to use for both an introductory student and an advanced industry veteran. It provides a single environment for Mesh Generation, CFD and Structural Analyses, and Visualization of results. Through the AUI, the user simply defines the problem, and ICMP will perform everything else required to set up and solve the simulation.
With dockable panels, customizable features, and more the AUI is not only very powerful but very user friendly.
The development of ICMP yielded a powerful Infrastructure which enables rapid prototyping of custom user interfaces, from the most complex and varied classes of problems to the most compact and focused of classes.
It also produced a powerful database architecture to record and access metadata related to each simulation. ICMP simulation sessions can automatically store summary information that can be retrieved and annotated by authorized users at any time.
AUI also stands for Anywhere User Interface as well as Any-device User Interface. Users can Interact with ICMP software from any device, including laptops, desktops, workstations, smartphones and tablets through their available web browsers. ICMP resources including compute, database, and portal servers, can be locally or remotely stationed, and can Interact with users located anywhere.
Users can Interact with each other through the connectivity infrastructure built into the AUIs and portal architectures, allowing collaboration between onsite or offsite colleagues and partners, supervision by management, and interactive assistance from Metacomp support services. This is perfect for organizations that are spread geographically and globally.
